If your little one is old enough to chew gum, odds are you’re going to have a lot more to worry about than whose going to win the next bubble blowing contest. The truth is you’re probably going to go an adventure in learning how to get gum out of everything your little angel comes into contact with. While children do love to blow bubbles with their gum, they also love to pop them and that can leave them with sticky faces and sticky hair. Even worse, a lot of kids like to take their gum and stick it to anything they can find, be it your hair or underneath your kitchen table. No matter what your baby has decided to stick gum to, you can rest easy because you have the perfect solution to removing gum right in your baby’s diaper bag: creamy baby oil!
Although most moms consider creamy baby oil to be an essential skin care product for their little ones, many don’t realize that is has other useful purposes. It’s really the best thing to get you out of a sticky situation when your baby has gone crazy with the gum. There’s no need to buy expensive gum removers when you can count on this baby skin care staple to help you get rid of gummy messes.

Removing Gum from Baby’s Hair

When your little one gets gum caught in his or her hair, it’s easy to panic and think you’re going to have to take the scissors to it if you want to get the gum out. Fortunately, you don’t need to do anything quite so drastic. All you really need to do is rub a bit of creamy baby oil on your child’s chair and then use a fine-tooth comb to get the gum out. This will work great for your hair as well, so don’t freak out if your baby decides that your hair would be a lot prettier with some gum in it.

Removing Gum from Household Items

Most children who get their hands on gum love to hide it in places around the home once the gum has lost its fruity taste. If you’re not fond of sticking your hands underneath your dining room table to find big wads of gum, then you’re in the same boat as a lot of other moms out there. Fortunately, creamy baby oil works well to remove gum from tables as well. Just dab the gum with a bit of oil and then it should be easy to scrape off. When you do remove gum from underneath tables and other places in your home, you may want to give baby a gentle reminder that blowing bubbles is fine but that leaving gum around the house is a no-no.
