During the summer months, it’s important for you to find ways to get your baby outside. Being exposed to some sunshine will help improve your baby’s mood and make it much easier for him or her to go down at night. One of the best ways to get your baby outside is to create a slip-n-slide in your backyard. This will be a great opportunity for your little one to splash and have fun while enjoying the sunshine. To make your slip-n-slide extra fun for your baby, you can use some baby wash to make the slide soapy and slippery. With more soap and suds to splash around in, your baby is going to giggle with delight when playing on the slip-n-slide.
Choose the Right Baby Wash
If you plan to use your baby wash to create a slip-n-slide for your toddler and his or friends, it’s important for you to choose the right type of wash. Most little ones are likely to have delicate, sensitive skin, and you don’t want this to get in the way of them having a blast during summer. In addition to choosing a wash that’s tear-free, you should also opt for a wash that is:

  • Dye-free
  • pH balanced
  • Gluten-free
  • Hypoallergenic
By getting a wash with all of these characteristics, you can ensure that your little one and his or her pals don’t end up with irritated skin after a day of sun and fun on the slip-n-slide.

Setting Up Your Slide
When you’re planning to set up a slip-n-slide for some great summer fun, it’s important for you to make sure that you set things up properly. A tear-free wash can ensure that soap doesn’t irritate your baby on the slip-n-slide, but there are other dangers to consider, and you’ll want to ensure that you take the proper precautions when choosing a spot for your slide. Choose an area in your yard that’s free of rocks and other sharp objects. If you lay your slide overtop of such objects, there’s a good chance that baby will get hurt.
Once you’ve set up your slide or tarp in a safe spot, it will be time to turn the water on and prepare for some fun. Wet the slide thoroughly before you open your baby wash. If there’s water on the slide already, everything will be ready to go as soon as you add the wash. If it’s your baby’s first time on a slip-n-slide, you might need to take things slow and show him or her what to do. Once your baby realizes how much fun slipping and sliding around can be, the two of you will be able to laugh and have a great time together.
