In a recent national survey put out by Baby Magic, 506 mothers of children age three and younger were asked what is most important to them when buying baby products, such as baby lotion. Results showed that 76% of moms ranked cost as the most important, with a familiar or recommended brand closely following. 56% of mothers considered chemical-free ingredients important, while 53% considered a track record for safety important. 52% of mothers considered portability important and 42% indicated that smell was important to them. Only a handful of mothers ranked products they read about online or made in the U.S. as important.
