Baby oil has many purposes.
While most parents think of baby oil as something that is used simply to keep their baby’s skin soft, it actually can be used for a wide variety of other things as well. Parents can use it around the house for skin care, but it can also be used for a long list of unusual things as well. If you have some extra oil lying around, you’ll be surprised to learn all of the different ways that you can use it.
Clean Up Your Home
One of the best ways that you can utilize baby oil is to help clean up your home. A lot of people don’t think of this oil as a cleaner, but it can definitely be used to help you keep your home spic and span. One great idea is to mix the oil with a little lemon juice, and then use this mixture as a polisher. You can use this to ensure that all of the wood surfaces in your home really shine. You can also use baby oils to help you shine your stainless steel or chrome appliances. Just a few drops of oil will be enough to get your kitchen sparkling in no time.

You can also use baby oil to help you clean up your kitchen counters or your table. This works especially well if your counters or other surfaces are sticky. If drinks have been spilled or food has been spilled on your counters, getting these sticky substances off can be difficult. Using a little bit of oil on these spots can help you to remove them easily.

Other Unusual Uses
Another way that you can use baby oil is to help get gum off of your face or out of your hair. If you have children, then the odds are that you’ve had to deal with a bubble gum incident some time in your past. Getting gum off of a child’s face or out of his or her hair can certainly be difficult, but rubbing a little oil on the gum can really loosen it up and help you to remove it with ease. Without the oil, it can be painful for you to remove gum from your child’s face or hair.
You can also use baby oil to help you deal with zippers that get stuck. You and your children are likely to have a lot of clothes with zippers on them, and struggling with a stuck zipper can waste a lot of your time. This can be especially problematic in the mornings when you’re getting ready for work or school. Fortunately, a little bit of oil can help you to keep your zippers from sticking, making it much easier for you to get dressed.
