Use baby wash and learn how to ease your child in to bath time. One of the tasks that a lot of new parents dread is baby wash and bath time, and this is generally because they have visions of fussy, crying babies who refuse to go into the bath. While this is a very real fear, it isn’t something that should discourage you from giving your little one a bath. Bath time is a great time to bond with your infant, and approaching it in the right way will make it a breeze. Once you learn the right tips and tricks, it will be easy to get your baby wash and get your child into that bath.

Tips for Bath Time Success
When you’re trying to ease your baby into enjoying or at least tolerating a baby wash and bath, you’ll need to make the proper preparations first. One of the things that often causes babies to get fussy during bath time is when they get cold. To make sure that your little one is calm and comfortable during bath time, it’s a good idea for you to make sure that the bathroom or wherever you are bathing baby is warm. If you need to turn up the heat in the house, this can help keep your child warm.
It’s also a good idea for you to make sure that you are well prepared for baby’s bath before you begin. If you have to devote your attention to finding missing supplies, then this could make infant uncomfortable. Preparing beforehand can ensure that you give all of your attention to your child. Make sure that you prepare the following items:
  • Baby wash
  • Bath toys
  • A soft washcloth
  • A hooded baby towel
  • Diapers and clothes
Calm Your Baby
One of the things that you can do in order to calm down your baby and ease him or her into the bath is spend some time singing or speaking softly to him or her. If your little one is scared of the new experience, hearing your sweet, familiar voice can really help your child relax. Make it a point to talk to your infant throughout the experience. Tell baby what you are doing as you lather him or her up with baby wash, and you’ll find that your child is going to be a lot more relaxed.
Have a Little Fun
Once you have eased baby into things and he or she is getting better at bath time, it could be time for you to start having some fun with your little one. While you should make sure that you use baby wash to get your little one clean, that doesn’t mean that bath time always needs to be about serious business. Teach your baby how to splash and blow bubbles. Learning how to have fun in the bath will take a lot of tension out of the bath situation and allow you and baby to have some fun.
