Pregnancy Stages

Nothing is more exciting than hearing that you are going to be a mom. Before you start planning for all of the magical moments you’ll have with your little one, it’s a good idea to learn as much as you can about the pregnancy stages. Not being prepared for the changes that will happen in your body can be a little scary, but taking the time to learn about what to expect during your three trimesters will make things go a lot smoother. Once you’re aware of the many changes that will happen during pregnancy, you can rest a lot easier and look forward to the fun stuff: buying new baby products for the new addition to your family.

Know What to Expect

In the first trimester of your pregnancy, you’re probably going to experience changes that will be hard for you to adjust to. Most expectant moms deal with nausea, fatigue, tender breasts, and frequent urination during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. It can be a big change from your normal life, so you’ll have to stop and take some deep breaths if you want to get through it. Having the help and support of your friends and family during this time will be a great way for you to make it through and prepare for the later pregnancy stages.

Your second trimester, from weeks 13-28, might be a little easier on you, once things like morning sickness have passed. You’re still going to have to deal with body aches and swelling ankles, but you’re probably going to be a lot more comfortable now that you have adjusted to being pregnant. One thing that you will need to look out for is stretch marks. These often appear during the second trimester, but you can do your best to minimize them by purchasing shea body butter made from Tree Hut and applying it to your tummy, breasts, and inner thighs.

The third trimester, from weeks 29-40, is when most expectant moms start to get impatient. You’ll likely be excited about the arrival of your baby and tired of dealing with pregnancy. It’s a good time for you to relax and stay off your swollen feet. Go online to shop for new baby products, such as fun toys and baby cream, and make your home ready for baby’s arrival.

Keeping a Pregnancy Journal

One great tip that can help expectant moms through the pregnancy stages is keeping a pregnancy journal. You can use this to write down updates from your doctor, write down how you are feeling, and note all of the changes you’ve had to make to your lifestyle. It’s a great way for you to catalogue this memorable experience, and one day you might be able to share some of it with your son or daughter. Also, if you’re planning on having another baby in the future, it can help you get through your pregnancy with relative ease.

I love the feeling that there’s another person inside of me. I get so amazed when my baby starts to move around I just love it all.
